Ch Segerforsen’s Isadora is the foundation bitch of the current line of Bon Chien. Isa was imported from Sweden by Pat Morgan of Winjammer. She produced several outstanding litters at Winjammer including Ch Winjammer’s Somebody To Love SN standing stud at Bon Chien. Isa came to Bon Chien for retirement. Isa passed in 2023 at about 13 1/2 years old.
Ch Winjammer’s Somebody To Love SN is the son of Isa. He was born January 11th , 2016 following Isa’s trip to meet the beautiful French stud Enzo de la Douce Plaine. Rokhie, as he is called, is the foundation stud of the current line here at Bon Chien. He is a majestic male, with excellent breed type and a beautiful full coat with rich black overlay. His sweet disposition and ability to peacefully cohabitate with other intact males makes him a joy to live with. He has reproduced his excellent qualities both here at Bon Chien and with outside breedings. He is certified normal for hips, elbows and eyes, is in the AKC DNA database and is available at stud to approved females.
Ch Winjammer’s Nou Passion Fury was one of the last litters bred at Winjammer by Pat Morgan. I was blessed to have her join my household when she was two years old. She is an elegant female who displays absolutely correct breed type. Fury has a soft disposition and is a quiet girl who loves just hanging out at home. She showed beautifully to get both her UKC and AKC championship, but her heart was never really in it, so I did not show her as a special. Fury only produced one litter of puppies, the Bon Chien Double litter which includes the beautiful males, Judah and Peter, both of dilute coat color. Fury continues to enjoy domestic tranquility here at Bon Chien.
Ch Winjammer’s Nou Adventure Fame is the littermate to Fury. They were the only offspring of Pat Morgan’s girl Gentile. Fame belonged to Becky Burgess, and came to me after Becky’s passing. Fame produced great litter for Bon Chien, with Rokhie as the sire. This was the “River” litter. Through her daughter Delta, she continues to have a very large pawprint on the current breeding at Bon Chien. Fame and Fury hang out together and watch their children, grandkids and great-grandkids play and grow. She has many advanced nosework titles in both the UKC and AKC. Famous Burgess, as she is often called, is a petite bitch with profuse coat, wonderful movement and a sweet loving disposition. She was also a fantastic mom.
Ch Bon Chien Double Platinum Peter is from the Bon Chien “Double” litter…Fury X Rokhie. He has a dilute coat color, that is gaining more warm color as he ages. He has his sire’s beautiful, long arched neck, a very short body and graceful movement. He is finished as a UKC champion and about half way to his AKC Ch. Peter is a calm dog, and still earns his nickname “angel puppy!” He is CHIP registered with the OFA since he has hips, elbows, eyes and thyroid all certified. He has successfully bred a female, and is available to approved bitches.
Bon Chien Yaleo of Forest House Yaleo is a Rokhie daughter born June 7th, 2022. She is an extremely atheletic dog, who is the self-appointed guardian of Bon Chien. She goes out at least twice a day to patrol the 4 fenced acres of forest around the house, then reports back. She does this by effortlessly sailing over the 4 ft kennel yard fence, then coming to the front door. When I want to keep her contained, she must go into the 6ft covered kennel run! Thank goodness, she does not seem to feel the need to go beyond my perimeter fence in her patrol duties! She has a rich red coat with beautiful black overlay. She is very short bodied, especially for a female, but that didn’t seem to make it hard for her to produce nine healthy, large puppies in her first litter. Her progeny are beautiful and already doing well in the show ring. Yaleo has all health clearances, OFA hips and elbows, CERF eyes clear and normal thyroid screen.
